Core Services

  • Project Inception

    The planning of your project starts here. We will work with you in order to understand your project needs, dreams and goals.

  • Schematic Design

    At this point we will prepare preliminary design sketches based on your requirements and budget to explore and illustrate possible options.

  • Design Development

    At this point we will refine the agreed upon schematic design for a clearer definition of the scope and quality of the finished project. This will further assist in ensuring budget requirements are met or adjusted.

  • Construction Documents

    We will prepare the  working drawings and specifications. These are required to obtain building permits and bids, and to guide the contractor in construction.

  • Bidding and Negotiation

    Our firm will advise you on the choice of contractor. We will help evaluate the bids and select the contractor, and prepare the contract between you and the contractor.

  • Construction & Contract Admin

    We will consult with you and advise you during construction. On-site visits will determine if construction is proceeding in general accordance with the contract, and that the design, materials, and workmanship meet with acceptable standards.

  • Project Management

    We are taskmasters at every level. Our skilled Project Managers offer technical expertise that contributes to streamlined, on-time, within-budget projects.

Studio Arts Inc, specialists in the design and supervision of architectural services was founded in 1991 and is registered according to the laws of Zimbabwe. After working for various architectural firms in Zimbabwe, and moved by the desire to be independent  and explore new heights by the Founding Directorx  saw the birth of this tried and tested architect firm, then J.B. Matiza Architects.

Over the years we have had engagements with public and corporate organizations in the design and supervision of big projects like high rise urban buildings, airports and private housing units not only in Zimbabwe but the region at large. In doing this, we have been able, albeit in our own small way, to help the government reduce the rate of unemployment by absorbing highly skilled professionals churned out by higher institutions of learning and training in the region.

Our vision is to be the torch bearer in the provision of top-notch architectural services not only in Zimbabwe but the entire African continent. We believe we are on course to achieving this as, among other countries, our service provision has already taken us to Nigeria, South Africa, South Sudan and Equatorial Guinea. Locally, we have been able to cater to our vast client base with relative ease being centrally located in Harare.

To ensure the firm’s services are accessible to every potential client, Studio Arts Inc. has two branches strategically located in Zimbabwe’s major cities of Harare and Bulawayo.  We are also available on social media – Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.
